ADDONS:
Sandbox folder: "\Sandbox\SolidWorks 2020\roaming\modified\@PROGRAMFILES@\SOLIDWORKS Corp\..."
Why so big?!
Installed size in /ProgramFiles/ was 18.5 GB, and with other files in /appdata/ etc was 21.6 GB total. Portable total size is 'just' ~18 GB. Portable doesn't mean light, they can't get lighter by magic, there's always a compromise. I could compress it, but performance would have been worse. I made a poll on my Telegram channel (@thehouseofportable) and big size+better performance style won, so please be patient, it's just a big app itself :)
...btw, the download size is "only" 7.7GB in TOTAL for ALL the packs (excl. langs), thanks compression!
...and the Setup is 15+ GB and not compressable, sorry, no way around that... but the portable is great, modular and all, isn't it great?![]()
Languages:
Multilanguage version! English+Italian are included in main pack. For all other languages, download separate .svm file for desired language. Available: Czech, French, German, Chinese x2, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese-BR, Russian, Spanish, Turkish.
Portable features:
- No huge installation required
- Admin needed only for activation (super easy)
- 100% Offline, completely safe to use, no firewall needed
- Sandbox folder containing modified settings, delete to reset
- Just run it and enjoy!
Note: always read included txt.

Done! I was trying to run the wrong .bat … Thanks so much!
okk perfect glad you solved 😁
Hey Buddy
Nice work, really. Is it possible to add the German Language?
added in 2020 bruh
I tried it without Composer and it didnt work. Maybe easier to add in the main package? Or someone has it working without Composer?
How can i edit registry keys in this pack? Whrere are they located?
I want to activate a Realview on my system 🙂
You can edit svm files using turbo studio (not exe files) or also create new svm, it will also read it and has reverse-alphabetical order priority
Hi, I have opened the svm file with Turbo Studio, but please instruct me how to get to the location to add the registry key; where if I used a installed program, I should go Registry Editor -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> SolidWorks -> SOLIDWORKS 2020 -> Performance -> Graphics -> Hardware -> Other. Thank you very much for your help!
on the left you have to first square for files, the second for registry.
Edit/add keys in the second square, then build(=save output file) by choosing ‘Layer(.svm)’ in top center
Hi and thanks for providing a portable version of this great tool. But I have two questions: 1) Is the portable version capsuled in the sandbox from all external communication, or does it “call home” when I use it? 2) When I try to start (after installing the licence server) the software is loading and loading and loading the registry data and then after maybe 5 minutes is pop-up a window with the note that “This version of Solidworks has not been commissioned properly, please contact supplier (A100, 72).” After click on OK it following the same messages with Solidworks… Read more »
1) yes it’s completely blocked and no way to unblock it without my re-build from source and 2) all fixed in 2020
Please upload it on mega or google drive. These servers suck so bad. Thanks.
I can do it for you, visit donate page 😆
Did you make portable-versions of earlier versions of SW for win10? 2016, for example.
This 2019 version is activated and works, but the interface is slow on my system.
will see, which system? sw is huge and needs some resources, not much different from 2016 😁
Thank you. You are my personal Jesus Christ.
Haha, thanks to you! 😇
Hello
hay
Excuse me.. Do i have to download all the three parts of the program (Main core, apps, and data) or only the main core and CAM data are needed to run the software properly?
Only core program is required, other things are optional – I guess – just download if you need that specific package. Note that I don’t know how to use programs, I just make them portable, so maybe some of the packages are required!
Portable SolidWorks!That is my dream!!!!!!!!!
There you go! 😉
