v2.2.3 released - fixed everything, follow steps carefully in included txt(latest runtime gets automatically downloaded inside the portable)
Ok so, whenever i try to BUILD (create executable Ctrl+F8) in GMS2, i get a compile error saying “Permission Error : Unable to obtain permission to execute” which means that creating a game isn’t possible. Do you think you can fix this?
strange thing, try executing as admin if you can and tell me if it fixes
So, I tried executing the port as admin, but my problem still wasn’t solved.
Everything works fine except for building it.
So as far as I can tell, YoYo Games checks if your account has bought GMS2
in this case, It didn’t work because I DIDN’T BUY GMS2 which is the reason.
I just realized that this whole thing WASN’T a problem, It’s supposed to happen. If your YoYo Games account hasn’t bought GMS2, then you cant BUILD the game that you’re making.
I’m sure the crack addresses this, try setup version, or try running portable offline so maybe it can’t check

Is anyone having this problem? Whenever I try to BUILD (Ctrl + F8) my game, i get a compile error saying “Unable to obtain permission to execute.” I’ve been searching to find out how to fix this and i got an answer saying “this error mostly happens when people downloaded a CRACKED version of GMS2”. I sadly have to tell you that making games using this portable that you made is, IMPOSSIBLE. Also, I don’t know if this is true but i’m pretty sure that Gamemaker Studio 2 detects if your account has a license or not. Do you think… Read more »
I’m not making crack myself so I assume what I find on trusted sources works
In the important notes comment: by “do not update EVER or you get trial” that means that my 30-day trial turns into an activated substituted account?
the account remains your account, untouched, but the program will still work, just don’t update it because the patch only works with 2.2.3.436 as of now
Hello, Firstly, a big thank you for all the software you share.
For this one i have a little problem,
i have put “runtime-2.2.0.258.svm” and “GameMaker Studio 2.2 Portable.exe” in in the same folder but nothing.
When i execute “GameMaker Studio 2.2 Portable.exe” i have just your logo, a sandbox file appear and its all.
Someone know what i’m doing wrong?

It’s an old portable (will update when I can) so it doesn’t work in new w10 update, but you can make it work with a little trick, explained in faq page, see youtube video link

and yes i have the same problem than “Galih”, need to register with a valid account with internet and after that (i have create an account for try), i need to update.
