Note: some plugins may not be compatible with latest portable, some were made for 2019, some for 2020 etc. Look at release date of plugin and portable: if plugin date is after between two portable dates, then it's guaranteed working on that one. Known issues:
CC 2019 Suite activation method completely changed from previous years. Patched versions are out, but they still have some minor issues. (even install version, it's not a portable issue!) For Photoshop CC 2019:
Home screen doesn't load (loads forever). I'm sure you can live without it, opening or creating any file you want through menus :) - I already disabled Home in settings.fixed in v20.0.5-6-7, Home screen now works. For Photoshop 2020:Home screen doesn't load again in v21.0.1, ignore it and just use menus to open/create files. Will hopefully be fixed in future builds.fixed in v21.0.2+, all works, also Luminar as a plugin with no problems.Portable features:
- No installation required
- No Admin rights needed
- Pre-activated
- 100% Offline, completely safe to use, no firewall needed
- Sandbox folder containing modified settings, delete to reset

Hi, it is not possible, and there is no way around that, it only works with an active license and online functionality, I’m sorry… You can use Firefly online for free, or other tools around.

I cannot run the aplication (photoshop 2020 21.2, or any other) because when opening the aplication it gives an error on Turbo Virtual Machine:..\local\stubexe\0x…\Photoshop.exe, 0x00E00.
Closing the error message makes it appear again.

I already tried that. I believe this is due some local policy from the system administrator as it block some operations on firewall… W10 Enterprise 1709
uh well the firewall shouldn’t be a problem as it doesn’t even try to connect, it’s blocked from the inside, maybe it’s something in the enterprise edition as you’re not the first one who reports problem on that
My man! Thank you so much for the timely update of PS and CR! I also noticed just now that you also made available the Lumiflow panel, which appears to be a great tool compared to others. Remeber we spoke some days ago about PS crashing upon clicking ‘cancel’ on the dialog boxes opened from the Layer panel thing? Unfortunately, this version too is affected. Damn it, I seem to be the only one, it may depend on my system, but I can’t really think of anything that may be the culprit, hardware/OS wise (previous versions worked fine). Welcome 😉 Sorry for that, can you explain exactly how to replicate? Anyway I make all Ps portable versions in the exact same way since like 2016, the only thing that changes is Ps itself that gets updated, my actions are all the same, so if something gets broken it might be some incompatibility of the new Ps with the portable format, it’s not that I changed something in my portabilizing process, actually there’s not much that I can change in order to fix, I just build and hope it runs… 😅😂
Strange indeed. Never happened before w THOP sw, and actually portable versions from elsewhere of this latest version of PS are not affected, so it appears not to be a problem on my side. Your version is better for several reasons, so I’d really like to use it, but this problem messes with my workflow too much. :’-( Also, as a comparison, your InDesign for example seems not to be affected. I’m sorry I really can’t replicate. I create a layer and double click it, glow/shadow/etc window comes up, click Cancel and it works as expected, no crashes.. did you update keeping the same sandbox as previous version? I think that it should usually work, but just in case try to delete (or rename) it so it creates a new one. Maybe some files from previous portable is causing issues
No, it was a clean install. I also compared the settings, and tried to install it on another disk, same error. Can’t think of anything else. Thank you anyway for taking the time, and thank you again for your invaluable work!

FYI: remember the issue above (PS crashing upon clicking ‘cancel’ on the dialog boxes opened from Layer panel?)? Good news: I tried the latest portable PS version (22.0.0) from another releaser (which originally suffered the same problem) and it seems to be resolved!
I reckon it was a PS problem and not of either portable system.
There is a great chance that your portable version will be ok too, and of course I’d prefer to use yours. So, count me waiting, whenever you have time!

Are you sure that’s the way to install it in setup version? All the files have to be in the exact same position, the sandbox folder I mentioned and you reported here is not the only one and might not be correct. If you click ‘Show how..‘ then read the last couple lines 🙂
