hi sorry for my last post as there was a similar one below, but even when I ran it as admin other problems were created. needless to say I spent a wile doing research, and it turned out that only the most resent version (16.1.0) was supported by the windows host. and I know that time douse not grow in trees, but i would massively appreciate if you could help me out, as I lack the knowledge to create a newer version of the portable.

Unfortunately Mcafee antivirus detected a virus in portable VM archive..please check your computer or get a better antivirus..

Again, I’m using bitdefender which is among the best if not the best together with kaspersky. It gives no warnings. What are you using? Oh Mcafee, read the other comment.

I execute and test everything with no problems with paid Bitdefender Total Security 2020 installed and running with all protections and no exceptions. McAfee is known to be not-so-good, especially since it tries to install itself everywhere in many setups of other programs and often comes preinstalled in some systems. That is not a good sign. I suggest you to use some good paid av like bitdefender or kaspersky. Avoid Norton/McAfee/Avira/Avast like hell, and any other free av. Hello, whenever I try to run the my virtual machine i get the following message:
VMware Workstation failed to start the VMware Authorization Service. You can try manually starting the VMware Authorization Service. If this problem persists, contact VMware support.
Why is this problem occuring? Is there anyway around it? Also, are there specific iso files that will only run on VMware?
Nope you can use any iso, and also read included txt, admin is needed for these services =)
so what can you use it for without admin privileges?
not sure, but this one needs them, couldn’t avoid that, it needs to run some services

I wish the win7 supported one with the vmware-patcher applied for BigSur macOS host support…. Plus at public places like the library the admin mode isn’t possible….
