Substance 3D Modeler is an innovative 3D modeling and sculpting application that combines virtual reality (VR) and desktop experiences to redefine how users create in 3D. It offers a more natural approach to 3D modeling, allowing artists to focus on the creative process rather than technical limitations.
- Primitives workflow: Assemble complex hard-surface models from 3D primitives, with six new Combine modes (Inset, Extrude, Groove, Tongue, Repel, and Avoid) and a new Blending type selector.
- Virtual clay workflow: Sculpt organic and hard-surface models in VR using a virtual clay-like interface, or in desktop mode using a mouse and keyboard.
- Boolean modeling: Combine and cut into forms with Boolean operations, allowing for complex modeling and detailing.
- Improved surfacing and detailing tools: New and enhanced tools for adding precision details to 3D designs, including the Buildup tool with alpha support, Crease tool, and Smooth tool.
- Material assignments: Easily define and see where materials will appear on 3D models while sculpting, improving the workflow between Modeler and Substance 3D Painter.
- Image-based lighting maps: Preview models with photorealistic environment lighting and reflections in the Modeler viewport.
- VR and desktop compatibility: Work in VR or desktop mode, with seamless transitions between the two.
The Substance Modeler is part of the Adobe Substance 3D Portable Collection, a suite of tools for 3D creation, and is available as a subscription-based service. The application is compatible with various VR headsets.
This is a multi-package portable. I can add updates/plugins via .svm files, just request plugins or notify me about new updates.
