  1. Buongiorno, ho provato Office 2016 Portable e mi sembra davvero un buon lavoro, complimenti.
Volevo sapere se è possibile renderlo in italiano con il language pack ed eventualmente come fare.
    Vi ringrazio anticipatamente.

  2. Good morning,

I’m sorry, but when I try to unrar the archives, WinRAR tells me the archive is dammaged or its format is unknown… (whether I try with the smalls or big files). Is it a known issue? How to solve it?

Thank you in advance, and thanks for your job.

  3. Hello! My winrar 5.40 writes me this C:\Users\artuh\Downloads\nema.part7.rar: You need to start extraction from a previous volume to unpack Office Pro Plus 2016 Portable\office.dat
    What i need to do?

    1. Sorry, this portable can’t be updated, as it’s completely offline, it can’t see the Internet. You can add update files into the /Sandbox/Office/roaming/modified/ folder just like normal ProgramFiles folder, (that is for all my portables) but I think that with Office it’s a little tricky as it has files everywhere. You can’t update with a normal setup as this is a portable version

    1. Sorry for that one, I forgot to remove it from the folder before making the archive.
It’s a little tool I use to create small exes that all refer to the main big .dat file. It’s useless for you, just delete it 🙂

  4. italian boy, have u died?I’m waiting for ur reply…It’s important for me to get some honest reply on my question.what’s so hard about it, man?
so, again my question is: what kind of patch/crack/keygen did you use and where the hell did you get it from to make a licensed portable for this app….
and answer don’t let me hanging this time, please…

  5. Man, you’re a legend. People, including me were looking for a modern, working Win10 portable Office for fucking YEARS. This is it. Thanks a lot!

  6. This Office 2016 portable works, but, unfortunately, the CTRL+lef-click feature, to follow (open) hyperlinks to Internet, doesn’t work.

  7. problem: the application unable to load a required component:
api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-1-0.dll please contact the publisher of this app for more information.

  8. Is this portable version leaves traces, files in the OS? If yes, where should I look to remove all of them to keep my system clean

    1. Nope, all clean. Portables run in a Virtual Environment, like a virtual machine, independent from the host 😉 Well, it can read host files (so you can open files), can write them but can’t write anything else.

  9. sono uovo in queste cose e non so come si fa a scaricare…..mi potete dire passo per passo come si fa? per favore….grazie in anticipo

  10. When I unpack the files and attempt to run any of the executables a window pops up saying it’s missing this
.dll file, “mfc90u,dll”. Can you tell me where to find this file? Thanks!

  11. I think I’ve figured out what to do using sfc /scannow from the command prompt to re-install the file.
Sorry to bother you about this one!

  12. Hi. thanks for the software. I downloaded the .RARs but winzip tells me that the password is wrong. I typed thop+thop. Is that pass?

  13. Can you please explain exactly how I add other languages? I want to add German as a language and I have a real german installation of office2016 at hand to copy files over. Which files do I need to copy over and WHERE do I have to copy them too. Please be specific, I don’t know how to do it. Thank you!

    1. Yep sorry! You can put all files into Sandbox folder, just like you would normally do in a installed version.
      1) install the language pack on your computer and see where the files go. They will go in a folder like /Program Files/Office/Locales or something like that.
      2) copy all language files from that folder into the same folder tree (create folders if necessary) located in \Sandbox\Office 2016\roaming\modified\@PROGRAMFILES@\Office\Locales or something like that, it’s important to note that @PROGRAMFILES@ folder resembles Program Files dir in a normal system, so you have to put the files in the exact same folder as the one you installed in your computer C: drive.

The portable detects all the new files in Sandbox folder at startup, and loads them like a installed version, so at next startup you should see the new language available.
Or maybe try to add it from inside the portable, in Options, but I’m not sure you can. If possible, this would be the best way (to select the installer package from inside the portable, so you let it do all the correct work)

  14. please please the solution for first things first screen – ask later or update only close the program any way

  15. Cool! I remember making a portable Office 2016 but was met with little success. May I know what tools you used to make it work?

  16. First things first
Thank you for this great upload

But I have problems staring any app from the package. It always crashes on start after the window “First thing first” I tried registry tweaks to disable this screen but with no success.

  17. Found a way to bypass start screen

    Single User Method

  18. Hola como estas! Estoy tratando de descomprimirlo y me dice contraseña incorrecta. Ya probe con Winrar 5, Winrar 5.5, instalable y portable, pero nada. Sabes que puede estar pasando? Gracias, esta genial la pagina!

  19. I am looking for the portable version of microsoft visio 2016 pro, but on the web I did not found anything.
In this version of office there is not visio. Can you make it? (possibly in italian).
    Thank you in advance!

  20. I had the same “First things first” crash on a Windows 7, Regedit’s didn’t work.
(I’m guessing you need a proper Office installation before this one for that method to work because I pretty much had to create those “Office” folders.)
But I managed to solve it, partially following the advice here:

It’s a bit long and includes other stuff too, but in sum what you need to do is this:

    • Download the “admintemplates-x64-4654-1000_en-us.exe” files from here:
(I didn’t run the .exe because I don’t trust MS, but you can open it and extract the files with Winrar.)

    • You only need to extract these two files:
    – office16.adml0
    – office16.admx
(You can open them in a text editor and check that the first one, “office16.adml0”, is in English. Or whichever language you prefer, e.g. “office16.adml” is in German, office16.adml1 is in Spanish, etc.)

    • “office16.admx” goes into
    and “office16.adml0” into
(If your Windows is in another language that “en-us” would be replaced by the acronym for that.)

    • The magic happens when you
    – open “Run”,
    – paste “gpupdate /force”
(Command Prompt appears for a moment and closes by itself, which apparently means those two files you’ve copied have been installed. Or that they’re ready to use. Or something like that.)

    • After that,
    – open “Run” again,
    – paste “gpedit.msc”, which opens something called the “Local Group Policy Editor”

    • From the folder tree on the left, go to
    – User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Microsoft Office 2016 \ Privacy \ Trust Center
(because why make something so vital easily accessible, right?)

    • Then *Enable* the
    – Disable Opt-in Wizard on first run
(because why be only evil when you can also be a troll, right? Way to go MS!)

If everything went smoothly, when you open the Portable stuff there’s an ‘oh no your trial’s over!’ message that you can simply close, and a threatening red band under the menu politely reminding you to pay the pizzo which you can simply ignore, and you can open/edit/save anything you want.

Bit of a hurdle in the beginning, but this portable stuff turned out to be pretty awesome after that!

Saludos.

  22. Well, I’m not as lucky as others….I get an error, telling me I need a licence and then it simply crashes!? Tried running it as Admin as well, same thing. Running Win10 x64

    1. Nope sorry, all Office apps require some core shared component, so size of full package is not the sum of single app sizes, but there’s a big part of shared files. So if I would make powerpoint alone, it would not be like 1/10 size of full package, but still quite heavy, like 1/2 or more. At this point just download the full suite and you enjoy everything 😀

  23. Hi,
The Registry Trick to prevent ‘First Things First’ Screen worked. However when I run it sometimes asks for Activation Key. When I cancel Sign in or Product Key, it says non commercial use, unlicensed product.

Will this work without activation or eventually terminate itself if I don’t enter product key. Once it said ‘Editing is Disabled’ in a top status bar in Red color, but after I closed the status bar, it has not appeared again.
    Thank you.
