This is a multi-package portable. I can add updates/plugins via .svm files, just request plugins or notify me about new updates.
Files:
- Epic Games Launcher Portable.exe = main program and data file (the only executable included: it's REQUIRED to run anything!) - twinmotion20195.svm = Twinmotion application pack - engine423.svm = Unreal Engine application default pack, which includes: Core Components (11.7GB), Starter Content (870MB), Template and Feature Packs (670MB), Engine Source (150MB), also Unreal Datasmith and Substance in UE included) - additional Platform packs for UE4: Add these directly from Launcher.
HOW TO GET UE4: Download Launcher + UE .svm pack in the same folder. Run the Launcher, login with your Epic account, and in the 'Library' tab you will be able to run UE according to the version included in the .svm pack you downloaded. HOW TO GET TWINMOTION: Download Launcher + Twinmotion .svm pack in the same folder. Run the Launcher, login with your Epic account, and in the 'Twinmotion' tab you will be able to run it according to the version included in the .svm pack you downloaded.
- Note: You can also have both .svm files and have both programs available to use in Epic launcher. - Note: more info about Twinmotion can be found in its own posts here. ALL download links are the same. - Note: Launcher v10.5.4 forces update at start and you can't run it. Either run it offline and skip login, or update to v10.7+ (where I disabled auto-update), or download this little launcher to run it with update disabled.
Addons/packs:
Sandbox folders: - Unreal Engine - "\Sandbox\Epic Games\roaming\modified\@PROGRAMFILES@\Epic Games\UE_4.23\Engine\Plugins\..." - Twinmotion - "\Sandbox\Epic Games\roaming\modified\@PROGRAMFILES@\Epic Games\Twinmotion\Twinmotion\..."
Languages:
Multilanguage version: Launcher starts in your system language (if available), Engine maybe also or you can change it in settings:Portable features:
- No installation required
- No Admin rights needed
- Completely free to use
- Online enabled
- Modular
- Updated
- Sandbox folder containing modified settings, delete to reset
- Just run it and enjoy!
- Modular: you can get the launcher alone, or also Twinmotion pack, or Unreal Engine pack, or both. All work with all! - Updated: all apps can be updated separately. For example I can update UE svm and you can get it keeping the same launcher exe. Or I can also update the launcher exe keeping the same svm files. Portable world! - and you can also update Engine, Twinmotion, add addons, whatever, all inside Launcher (updating Launcher doesn't work). Nothing will install in your system, all will go into the portable ;)

Please note that these packs were made for UE v4.19.2 so they’re a bit old [08 July 2018]. I suggest you to just get latest UE and install these packs directly from EpicGamesLauncher by clicking ‘Options’ in UE tab! They will “install” into the portable, not in your system. | |||||

How to install it
When I place the .svm files in the folder with the “Epic Games Launcher 10.7 Portable.exe” nothing comes up in the “Library” section of the launcher. Can you help? I signed up for the free beta already. Can you help?
make sure the launcher is completely closed (check tray icon and task manager) because it has to start from zero to read the new svm file. Also I think that you can download & install latest ue directly from the launcher, without svm file, it will get saved under sandbox
Thanks! It is working now. You should put it in the instructions that the Epic Games launcher minimizes in the tray. I downloaded the new UE v4.24 from the launcher. It says that it is 10.7 GB, but after it downloads, it is about 30 GB in the file system. I will fill out a formal request for the new UE version as an .svm file. Thanks again for your hard work!
the download is a compressed pack, when installed it’s bigger – you can delete the old svm of course – and make sure that you did download only the packs that you want (ios, android, linux, etc) maybe by default it installs stuff that you don’t really want so it’s a waste of space
Ah, yes. Those pesky little things that are checked by default… I disabled all of the unnecessary ones and cut the size in half!!
There’s just one thing: when I run the launcher and run the latest version of the engine without the engine243.svm file (the 13 GB one) in the root directory, it doesn’t run. When I run the latest version with the .svm in the root, the latest version works as normal.
I’m trying to put this on my flash drive, but it isn’t large enough for the engine243.svm file and the latest version on it.
Maybe you downloaded the new engine while having the svm loaded? In this way it didn’t download all the files because some were already in the svm, it only added to sandbox the ‘new’ files, so maybe try running launcher alone (deleting sandbox and without loading svm) and then install ue, should work.
Were you talking about the flash drive because you need it on usb or just because you were trying that fix? Because there’s a new fix which works the same and doesn’t need usb keys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp4nKMOJfIE but it’s not needed for this launcher
That isn’t the problem I’m having. My USB drive simply doesn’t have enough storage space. I removed the .svm files from the root and booted the launcher, then I signed in and clicked on the UE tab. It said that it wasn’t installed (I moved the previous installation so that I could have a fresh install) so I clicked “Install UE 4.24.2,” unchecked the optional add-ons, and clicked Install. Then it throws the error “C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win64\EpicGamesLauncher.exe is not found” I tried putting the main EXE file in the path (under @PROGRAMFILES86@) and renaming it to EpicGamesLauncher, but just… Read more »
So you’re saying that with ue svm you were able to install the ue update 4.24, while without svm you couldn’t? did you delete sandbox before doing so?
1. I deleted sandbox 2. I move all of the svms out of the root 3. I start EG Launcher + sign in 4. go to UE and click Install 5. deselect all add-ons that I don’t want 6. it throws the same error “C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win64\EpicGamesLauncher.exe The specified path does not exist” If I do the same with the engine243.svm in the root at the start, it will install fine. So the installation of the new UE version is completely dependent upon the svm with the old engine in it. Perhaps you have the EpicGamesLauncher.exe stored within that… Read more »
the launcher exe is of course included in the app that you launch, otherwise it wouldn’t start 😁 I don’t have source files anymore but I’ll emila you a solution, don’t have time to do it myself sorry
Thankyou! I’ve a question, it is autoupdatable its content? remind it, the program will search updates constantly and doesnt work if the executables is outdated.
nope launcher is fixed with updates disabled, if you try to update launcher it will bootloop. But you can update separate programs (ue, tm) and add addons/plugins from inside launcher 🙂
Unreal engine 4.23 part 2 file error plz re -upload plz sie
it’s online everywhere except mx, you have many options
Plz help sir unreal engine 4.23 .svm file error.part 2 head part corrept so how can install,
make sure you downloaded correctly full file, maybe try another mirror
I need to use Unreal engine on a PC that I cannot install anything.
all is portable, just download all needed .rar files and there’s nothing to install
If I need to install Epic Launcher it’s not portable.
you don’t need to. Epic Launcher is portable, UE/TM are data files, you can launch both apps from portable launcher, and all will be portable with nothing to install and no admin nor install needed
If you package Quixel as a .dat file with your exeMaker and you placed the .dat file in the .svm search path, wouldn’t that launch either program in the same VM so they see each other and you can launch either anytime.
isn’t there a way to launch it from inside launcher? like it happens for ue and tm
Can you update with this great news:
https://youtu.be/wd_sdFaYdIk
Saw it, you can download/update and ‘install’ (into the portable) anything you want from epic launcher
How to block EpicGamesLauncher network access in the Windows Firewall??
put “Epic Games Launcher Portable.exe” in Windows Firewall and it’s not working 🙁
why would you block? all programs are free and legit here. you can skip login anyway. To block, run it once and see in task manager the path of ‘turbo vm’ processes and you have to block all those processes, those are the real exes that run
Awesome!
Now if we somehow could use that without Epic account it would be perfect!
You can skip login and just start unreal… Anyway it’s all free to use, nothing is cracked, no fear to use your account 😉
